You know what makes me laugh? Teenage angst. From a spectator's view, albeit one with a warped sense of humor, it's slightly hilarious. It's like watching a football game. On one side, you've got a team full of burly, well-trained athletes. Some of them are undoubtedly on steroids. This is team "Teenage Angst". On the other side you've got team "Logic". We use the term "team" here loosely, as it is one guy. One scrawny guy with glasses is standing there on the field looking warily at the opposing team. No pads. No helmet.
It ends badly, with Logic getting carried off on a stretcher by paramedics.
Wow. I just made a football analogy knowing almost nothing about football. Go me.

So, with the understanding that no one's ever going to read this...
I'll ramble my ass off. It's one of my hobbies.
I've decided that our country has been taking a sad dive towards socialism for a while now. H. G. Wells (one of my favorite authors) once said "The New Deal is plainly an attempt to achieve a working socialism and avert a social collapse in America; it is extraordinarily parallel to the successive 'policies' and 'Plans' of the Russian experiment. Americans shirk the word 'socialism', but what else can one call it?" And here's Obama talking about "spreading the wealth" so I guess my generation's money is all going to be someone else's money sooner or later. It kind of sucks.
And then they're trying to take away our right to bear arms. Maybe they're just afraid of a revolution?
On a happier note, I can say with almost 98.9% certainty that it will never get as bad as 1984 by George Orwell. I might be underestimating the sheer moronic idiocy of some people, but I think there are people out there with enough intelligence to keep the world from falling that far apart.
Intellect aside, it would be impossible to rewrite the past as completely as the Party does, thanks to our good friend the Interwebs. Yay for technology!
